During the months of July and August, various events will take place in and around the town of Vesper.

Come visit Vesper and check out the Seafood festival merchants. Here you can buy various fish pies and a unique trading card.

Just east of these merchants is Duncan the Dredger.
Duncan.png
The Vesper canals were recently dredged and repaired and during that time hundreds of tons of old cargo were discovered in the silt of the canal beds.

The dredgers also disrupted an old forgotten magic under the waters of Vesper that had been powered by Moonstones. This caused rift gates to appear and allowed for the return of two old foes. The first foe, G'Thunk [LORE], was an old enemy of Vesper. Duncan will reward you with one of these crates, for free, every time you slay G'thunk.

The Rift Gate to access G'Thunk can be found here:
Gate1.png

G'Thunk Reward Drops and Rates
  • 3x Vesper Crates 100% chance to drop on corpse.
  • G'Thunk's War Chain (necklace) 10% chance to drop in backpack.
  • G'Thunk Statue 25% chance to drop in backpack.
  • Random 105 - 110 Powerscrolls.

Next you will discover a Rift Gear near the Vesper Bank. This Rift gate takes you to the Hedge Maze where you may come face to face with it's creator. [LORE]
Rel.png

The Hedge Maze has a new magic surrounding it that prevents teleporting, gating, and marking. You can summon Relvinian by dropping 10 Moonstones into the Altar basket.

Relvinian Reward Drops and Rates
  • 3x Vesper Crates 100% chance to drop on corpse.
  • Invasion Spellbook 10% chance to drop in backpack.
  • Relvinian's Robe 25% chance to drop in backpack.
  • Random 105 - 110 Powerscrolls.

Vesper Seafood Festival Summer Fishing Contest!

This weekend,10 - 12 July 2020, will be the first of two Fishing Contests.
  • Players will have to catch a Big Fish
  • BigFish.png
  • There was some confusion last year, there are many named fish now but for this contest, it must be the one pictured.
  • The Big Fish must have been caught by you and have your character's name on it.
  • The Big Fish MUST have a date of 7/10 - 7/12/2020 on it!

  • Players will then have until 7/15/2020 to reach out to me and turn in their biggest fish.
  • Players are only allowed to submit ONE FISH PER PERSON(IP)
  • To submit a fish buy a bag and a book. Put the fish and book inside the bag. Inside the book write your player's name. Reach out to me on Discord or the forums with the name of your fisherman.
  • The winners will be announced shortly after.

Fish will be judged by WEIGHT. The TOP THREE players who turn in the biggest Big Fish, with the correct dates on it, will receive a rare fishing pole!

Out of those top three, the player who turns in the BIGGEST fish will receive a special title deed with the title "Summer Fishing Tournament Champion"
(in the event of a tie two will be handed out)

As a reminder, it is against the rules to AFK fish as you are "gathering". We will be doing extra patrols during the tournament and anyone found AFK fishing, besides the normal penalties, will not be allowed to participate in any future fishing contests.

Event Update!

The Fishing Tournament has started! Good luck and please read the post above if you want to participate.

The Vesper Museum is very interested in a select few pieces of the Double Blessed Clothing currently being found in Vesper Crates.

Vesper.png

If you have the pieces they are looking for they are offering a generous amount of points, compared to the cost of a crate, for them. This may be the perfect opportunity to collect any Vesper Museum decoration or equipment items you may want. A quick gate to the Museum has been set up near the Vesper event quest giver. https://www.uoguide.com/Vesper_Museum_Collection

VesperMuseum.png

The museum is currently seeking Double blessed robes, bear masks, dear masks, and sandals.

Lord William the Vesper Antiquities Restorer (Quest Giver) will be setting up shop near the Vesper Bank.
  • Quest Dialog
Hey there! If you have 50.1 Fishing skill and fish around the Vesper Canals you may fish up a Large Vase (5% chance). They are very fragile and will decay if dropped or if out of water for more than two minutes. Bring it to me! I have the equipment to keep it safe and will give you a piece of the material I find inside.
You must be in the Vesper town zone and have at-least 50.1 fishing to attempt to fish up the vases.
  • Reward - A cloak that can be altered to wing armor and has +5 fishing and a random luck bonus between 0 and 150.

The Vesper Museum is now accepting more double blessed clothing. They are offering generous reward points for the following items:

Robe - 200 points

Bear Mask - 300 points

This coming Saturday and Sunday - Starts @ noon EST on Saturday and will be shutoff @ 10 pm EST on Sunday.

Help us fight back a mighty orcish invasion force that will appear on the beach and sea near Vesper.

Players will be able to collect "signal flairs" and deposit them into the Signal Cannon, on the beach, to ambush Plunder Beacons on the coast. Various Orc event items handed out during THIS MINI SIDE EVENT could make one last appearance.

This will conclude an older mini side event that was left incomplete. https://trueuo.com/threads/orcs-are-on-the-move.2261/#post-12330

After 2pm EST today Heritage will be getting a quick restart to add the last of the new content to the Vesper Seafood Festival.

The Troll Mystics that spawn before G'Thunk will now have a 25% chance to drop the "Battle Horn of G'Splat".
Horn.png

Each horn has one charge and when used in Trammel will open a gate for 10 seconds to G'Splat's time-warped dimension.

When a Horn is used it will not delete. Save your 0 Charge Horn for when you get to G'Splats area for when thrown into the summoning fire it summons G'Splat himself!

G'Splat Reward Drops and Rates
  • 3x Vesper Crates 100% chance to drop on the corpse.
  • G'Splat's Boon 10% chance to drop in backpack.
    • Boon.png
