Not A Bug Loot split in party

i think must not be split for your party.
please disable it for party loot
Also, in case it was Heritage custom, why would anyone actually want it this way?

One thing I always hated on production UO was how if I wanted to party with other players to tackle hard encounters I would not get my own loot packs, especially for peerless where items like crimson cinctures drop on the corpse. This only seemed to deter people partying together and really hurt weaker players who might want to join up with a stronger player.

I can only imagine it is because when you multi client hunt it just makes it easier to quickly loot but I don't think that is close to a good enough reason when compared to the scenario I just outlined above.

That bothers when hunting with multiclient yes,
but in a group with another real player too,

when I was part of a real guild with other players on several occasions we went on a boat in a group nobody wants to collect the loot because it is:
3 sea serpent scale, 2 sea serpent scale, 1 sea serpent scale, 1 sea serpent scale, 1 sea serpent scale, 1 sea serpent scale, 1 sea serpent scale and more piles of 1~3


On one occasion I was with my brother, and he was moving a stack of 20,000 gold and he wanted to put it into his giant beetle, and he accidentally put it into the body of a dead wild hiryu, the gold was divided into stacks of 2 gold, 1 gold, 3 gold, 5 gold, 4 gold, 2 gold, 2 gold, 3 gold...

the corpse was deleted before we could even collect 500 gold XD

I don't think these things are expected loot behavior.

It happened to me here, I went with someone to kill a peerless and we got a crimson cincture, which he looted lightning quickly. and I was left with nothing.

then the loot split in same corpse is not helping.
it only makes it more tedious to gather common things like hides, scales, and the like, it doesn't do anything to really help players divide artifacts into participants...

Maybe I misunderstood your original post.

So in a party you can see all the loot but you are saying it still splits up the stackable items?

it split every loot that can be divided.
the gold is correctly divided between the number of players, and if there is something left over, for example 1, it is left separate. for example: for a group of 3 players: 1084 gold = 361gold+361gold+361gold+1gold.

but this is useless, because you can still loot that is for your party mates... so why is it separated? if each member has access to everything. there is a stack of 361 gold for me, but a fast party member can loot my 361 stack of gold... So it is useless.

and what is completely bugged are the resources such as leather, ores, reagents, scales, and others... that are not divided into 3 stacks for a group of 3 member or to 4 stacks for a group of 4 is divided into many stacks of 1 , 2, 3. it's like it wanted to be divided by two not to stacks of two and something was misconfigured.

Your imagination went crazy on this part. I just tested it with 3chars - anything stackble droped into dead corpse by ANY party member stay in stack.
Only original items that you can see after open corpse first time divide by number of party members.

I can tell you SIMPLE SOLUTION-DROP YOUR PARTY before Boss die=each member end with separate loot pack.

I made a loot script that loops 3-4 times on stackable items. But as stated above you can disband right before the Boss dies.

I have tested the gold split bug:
1. go kill something in party
2. drag gold to the corpse container windows in "Grid mode"
3. the gold will be split like this: (this was just 300gold)

May be related to OrionUOx64 Client, I don't know.

i think my brother are using grid mode for all containers, so the giant beetle backpack and the corpse container looked the same for him.
when he dragged the 20k to a wild hiryu's dead body the gold got split in stacks of 1,2,3,4 gold each. we lost that gold.

Oh no. Whole 20k... Def something with your client. I use UOS and i never saw gold or anything split that way.

I use orion and have never seen this. But Ive also never moved gold to a dead mobile. Why would you not just use the trade window?

this is not true, i purposely did not loot because i thought other could/would.
then when i was ready to leave, i thought i better check corpse, maybe something was left!


on another note:
guess i never checked party looting, grr, lol , i though party members could loot,
Its good because sometimes i would go hunt with newer player's so they can loot and get higher end items ect..

I think items are only split into stacks if they can be. Its not specific to gold. The remaining 1 is because when it was coded they didn't know what to do with the remainder.

Yeah, this is basically working as intended and has a few small differences due to how it was implemented but I am unable to replicate anything close to what the op was originally reporting.
